Maker Summit Week, April 12–16, 2021
Welcome to the sixth annual UW Maker Summit! The 2021 Maker Summit is a weeklong event that includes a blend of in-person, small-scale workshops, take-home workshops and activities, and a virtual project showcase and awards ceremony.
All members of the UW and Seattle communities are encouraged to participate in one or more activities during this exciting week!
A little different from last year
All project submissions will remain virtual. Visit the Submission Information page for details on submitting a project. Participants will have the opportunity to submit pictures and/or video of their project along with a description.
This year, categories have been eliminated! Instead, we would like to highlight the variety of activities folks engaged in during the past year. You may draw inspiration from our previous categories (such as digital art, gizmos, photography and videos), but you are also encouraged to submit a project that reflects some of the creative activities that you engaged in during the pandemic.
Submitted projects will be showcased on our website beginning on Monday, April 12, 2021, to kick off Maker Summit week. During the week, members of the public will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite projects. The voting will open on Monday, April 12, 2021, and close on Wednesday, April 14, 2021.
All participants are encouraged to join us online on Friday, April 16, 2021, at 3 pm where we will announce the winners of each category!
