Welcome to the UW Maker Summit 2023!
The UW Maker Summit will bring together some of the most creative and innovative talents that the UW and Seattle communities have to offer. This year's summit will be in-person! The summit is Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15. You don't want to miss it!
This year the summit will feature:
- Art Walk & Film Festival
- Project Showcase and Awards Ceremony
- Workshops in The MILL and The 8 makerspaces
- Open Mic Nite

Call for entries
All UW staff, faculty and students are encouraged to submit a project. All levels of expertise are welcome at the 2023 Maker Summit!
Makers have the option to show their art and video projects at the Art Walk & Film Festival on Friday, April 14. All projects will be displayed at our Project Showcase on Saturday, April 15.
All participants are encouraged to join us on Saturday, April 15 for the Awards Ceremony, where we will announce the winners of the Project Showcase! Come support your fellow makers!
More details about the showcase will be coming in March, so check back.
Students can win prizes!
Student projects submitted to the Maker Summit are eligible to win an Amazon e-gift card. Only current UW students are eligible to win a prize.
Projects will be evaluated by a panel of judges, who will rank the entries in each category.
- Projects ranked in 1st place will be awarded $200
- Projects ranked in 2nd place will be awarded $100
Win an additional $500
All 1st place winners will be entered into a raffle to win an additional $500! Winners must be present at the reception on Saturday, April 15th in order to claim the raffle prize.
