Welcome to your new housing portal experience!

We have moved from CBORD Odyssey HMS to StarRez Portal X, a modern, mobile-friendly platform to manage all things housing at the UW. Here's everything you need to know: 

What is StarRez? 

StarRez is our new housing management system. It’s used by universities worldwide and makes it easier to: 

• Apply for housing 

• Select or change rooms 

• View assignment details 

• Pay housing charges 

• Submit forms and requests 

This migration is now complete. This switch was completed in October 2025. 

Will my current housing info carry over? 

Yes. Your housing application, assignment, and billing will all be transferred automatically to StarRez. No need to reapply or redo anything. 

Do I need to create a new login? 

Nope! You’ll continue using your UW NetID to log in just like you do now. 

Can I access StarRez on my phone? 

Absolutely. StarRez is fully mobile optimized, so you can manage your housing wherever you are. 

Will I still be able to view my billing and payment history? 

Yes. Once StarRez launches, you’ll be able to view your housing charges, payments and statements in the new portal. 

What changes for room selection and assignments? 

Future housing application cycles, including room selection and room change requests, will all happen through StarRez. It’s designed to be easier to navigate and more transparent than the previous system. 

Will I get reminders or training? 

Yes! We’ll send out email updates, tutorials and guides to help you get familiar with StarRez. Our team will also be available if you need support.
