If you need to arrive on campus before your assigned check-in date, you may apply for early arrival housing. You will be approved for early arrival only if you meet one of the following qualifications:
Situations related to jobs, expired leases and travel arrangements do not qualify you for early arrival housing. You will need to make other arrangements for such circumstances.
Summer Sessions 2024
If you need to arrive on campus before your assigned check-in date, you can apply for summer sessions early arrival.
Early arrival spaces are limited for summer sessions. The priority deadline to apply for early arrival housing is 11:59 p.m. on June 5, 2024. We encourage you to apply by that date to increase your chances of being assigned.
Early arrival dates
Summer early arrival housing would allow you to arrive as early as 10 am on Sunday, June 9, 2024.
Charges and payment
Early arrival housing is charged as a flat rate and charges will not be prorated if you arrive after the period has started. You will be responsible for the total cost of the early arrival period regardless of when you arrive to campus.
Your Early Arrival payment is due with your summer term housing charges on July 5, 2024.

Cancellation
If you decide that you no longer need early arrival housing, please cancel your application no later than 11:59 p.m. on June 5, 2024. You will incur a $50 cancellation charge.
Starting on June 6, 2024 we will no longer accept cancellations for early arrival and you will remain responsible for your full early arrival charges.
Autumn quarter 2024

Early arrival periods
- Period 1: September 8–18, 2024
- Period 2: September 15–18, 2024
Approval for each of these periods will be based on when your program requires you to be on campus (for example, if ROTC requires you to be on campus on September 16, you will be approved for Period 2, not Period 1).
If you are approved to move in during Period 1, you may be housed in a temporary room, in which case you must move to your autumn quarter room on the morning of September 14.

Early arrival housing is charged at a flat rate based on the number of days in each early arrival housing period.
There is a $25 nonrefundable application charge.
If you apply after the priority deadline (September 1), you will be charged an additional $25 late application charge. You will be assessed a $55 expedite charge for a same day assignment.

Dining account
Early arrival dining funds will remain available for use into the academic year. Funds remaining on your account at the end of the early arrival period will carry forward, and will be treated as autumn quarter funds.
Winter quarter 2025
If your academic program requires you to arrive on campus earlier than January 5, 2025 you may apply for Early Arrival Housing, to arrive as early as December 30, 2024.
Application
The application will be available in mid to late November. Apply by December 27.
