Services built into your Husky Card

Library card

The Husky Card serves as your UW library card. Use it when checking out books and materials from the UW Libraries.

Transportation Services

Most Seattle campus students are automatically enrolled in the Universal U-PASS  program. Faculty and staff members are eligible to purchase a U-PASS once they have received their Husky Card. The U-PASS provides full fare coverage on King County Metro, Community Transit, Sound Transit, Pierce Transit, Kitsap Transit, Everett Transit bus services, Sound Transit's Link light rail and Sounder commuter trains. U-PASS members tap the Husky Card on the ORCA card readers in place of payment. Additional benefits include free rides on the NightRide Shuttle and discounts at participating merchants. For more information about the U-PASS, visit UW Transportation Services. Students should also review our information about the student U-PASS.

Activities and entertainment

Cardholders are eligible for:

  • Admission to campus events
  • Membership to the Intramural Activities Building (IMA)
  • Free admission to the Henry Art Gallery and the Burke Museum
  • Discounts on tickets at the UW Arts Ticket Office
  • Discounted Husky sporting event tickets
  • Participation in the UW Discount Program

Building entry

The Husky Card acts as your key for entry into assigned areas on campus. For residence hall students, the Husky Card provides access to your building.
