Quick Read: Campus Eats for Seahawks Fans

  • Devon Witherspoon & Drew Lock swear by eggs, waffles, and bacon; find it at Center Table's Waffle Bar every morning.
  • Montorie Foster Jr. fuels up on steak and broccoli; get the NY Strip Steak Frites at Cultivate.
  • Julian Love keeps it simple with a PB&J; grab the ingredients at District Market.
  • No NFL salary needed, just your dining plan!

Before the touchdowns, the highlight reels and the championship parade down 4th Avenue, there was a meal. A ritual. The kind of fuel that gets you to the finish line, whether that's a fourth quarter comeback or surviving week seven of spring quarter. We found out what your favorite Seahawks actually eat and matched every one of them to something on our campus. Whether you’re looking to bulk or just have a comfort meal before an exam we have it all. Let's eat, Huskies.

Devon Witherspoon and Drew Lock

Turns out even Seahawks disagree on a lot of things, play calls, playlists, who left the film room lights on, but Devon Witherspoon and Drew Lock are in complete agreement when it comes to breakfast. Eggs, waffles, bacon and grits. Simple, hearty, the kind of meal that tells your body it's time to show up.

And honestly? So are we. Center Table's Waffle Bar is serving Belgian waffles with all the toppings alongside cage-free scrambled eggs and hardwood-smoked bacon, every single morning. No NFL salary required, just your dining plan and enough motivation to get there before 11 a.m. If it's good enough for a Pro Bowl cornerback and a championship quarterback, it's good enough for your 9:30 lecture.

Montorie Foster Jr.

Montorie Foster Jr. keeps it clean. Steak, potatoes, broccoli, the classic athlete's plate. No distractions, no unnecessary ingredients, just fuel that does exactly what it's supposed to do.

The closest thing to Foster's plate lives at Cultivate in Elm Hall: the NY Strip Steak Frites. Seared NY strip, chermoula and house fries; it's the only place on campus where steak shows up regularly. Cultivate is UW's sustainable gastropub, with ingredients sourced straight from the UW Farm, so the food isn't just protein-heavy, it's actually thoughtful. Order it up, pile on a side, and refuel like a pro. You've got a season to train for. Or at least a midterm.

Julian Love

Sometimes the best fuel is the simplest. When Seahawks safety Julian Love was asked what he could actually cook for himself, his answer was refreshingly honest: a classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich. No frills, no fuss, just the kind of meal that gets the job done.

Proof that you don't need a five-star spread to play (or study) like a champion. The good news? You can recreate Julian's go-to without ever leaving campus. Swing by District Market, grab a loaf of bread, your peanut butter of choice, and a jar of jelly, and you're set. Quick, affordable, and the perfect fuel between classes, before the gym, or during a late-night study session.

A Super Bowl champion-approved snack, made right at home in your dorm.

Touchdown

You don't need a championship ring or a training staff to eat like an athlete. The meals that fuel Seattle's best are sitting right here on campus, at Center Table, Cultivate and District Market, ready daily. So next time you're debating whether to actually leave your dorm for dinner, think about what it takes to win a Super Bowl. It started with a meal. Yours starts here.
