Submit a project

How to enter

To enter a project please fill out a Project Submission form. To submit multiple projects, fill out a separate form for each project.

Submission due date

All projects must be submitted by Monday April 3, at 8:00 am
. Projects submitted after the due date will not be accepted.

Tips for filling out the form

When you submit your form you will receive a confirmation email. In approximately 3 weeks, you will receive a notification email letting you know your project has been accepted to the showcase.

Team projects

  • If you are a member of a group submitting a team project, please list the first and last name, email address and phone number for each contributing member.
  • As the person submitting the proposal, you are the primary point of contact for your team. Information related to project acceptance or rejection, event details, and final results will be sent to you with your team member

Participant type

  • Select your Participant Type from the drop-down menu. We accept entries from UW students (graduate and undergraduate), UW staff, and UW faculty. Please select the option that best describes you.

Project title

  • 200 characters or less
  • This is the title that will appear next to your project at the Project Showcase. Ensure it is eye-catching and unique to your project.

Project description

  • 1 paragraph or less

  • This information will be displayed with your project at the Project Showcase. It gives attendees some insights about your project, like the intention or purpose. You may also wish to include the type of materials or equipment used, your creative process, or the time it took you to make your project.

Project type, project category

This year the Maker Summit has 6 project categories:

  • Art

  • Film

  • Gizmo

  • Photography

  • Software

  • Other

When to pick up your project

Please pick up your project after the Project Showcase has ended at 6 pm on April 15. Projects not picked up by the 6 pm deadline will be discarded.
