It's Summer in Seattle. . .
At The UW that means food, beverages and fun go together all across our beautiful campus. Here’s a rundown on what sunny experiences await you during these warm, sunshine-filled days (plus a hint of what’s coming this fall). Oh, and check out the summer hours for all UW Dining locations.
Coffee on the Quad
Head to Parnassus, the campus’ oldest café, tucked away in the basement of the Art Building, order some delicious Husky Grind coffee and enjoy your treat outside on the UW Quad.
Breakfast from Sunrise to Sunset
Choose a breakfast-inspired sandwich from Sunrise Griddle, our popular food truck located for the summer on West Campus between Lander Hall and Maple Hall, and satisfy your breakfast food fix on the outdoor plaza.
All You Care to Eat
Beginning Monday, July 9, the all-you-care-to-eat dining model you’ve been waiting for is back at both Local Point on West Campus and The 8 on North Campus. So put on your sunglasses and walk on over to experience the full salad bar, daily hot lunch specials and more.
Food at Life Speed
Select a cold, refreshing beverage, grab a sandwich to go at District Market, our convenient neighborhood grocery store, and enjoy a relaxing lunch in the outdoor courtyard.
Always Time for Ice Cream
Escape the heat and cool off with a scoop of creamy and delicious ice cream at Glacie Creamery, located in the Husky Den on the ground floor of The HUB.
On the Waterfront
Rent a canoe or kayak from the Waterfront Activities Center, explore Lake Washington, then come ashore for a refreshing smoothie, wrap or snack from Dawg Bites in the IMA Building.
Center Table, the new dining destination in Willow Hall on North Campus, will be opening in a few short months and will feature seven distinct food concepts, including an allergen-free kitchen called SELECT and a standalone Pagliacci Pizza. While Center Table will be replacing The 8 in McMahon Hall, it will be managed by The 8’s friendly and experienced staff.
Cultivate Restaurant on West Campus will be closed during the summer and will reopen this autumn with an updated menu, new service model and the same commitment to fresh and creative dishes in the Pacific Northwest tradition.
Bay Laurel Catering
, UW’s premier campus caterer, moved into a new kitchen in Willow Hall on North Campus in late July. Catering services were not interrupted during the move, so don’t hesitate to reach out for all of your event planning needs!
