It’s Time To Spring Forward!
UW Dining invites you to join us as we introduce several exciting food concepts based on customer interest and desires. We’re also pleased to announce the upcoming debut of the popular mobile ordering app Tapingo! Soon you’ll be able to order ahead and avoid waiting in line. You’ll first be able to use the app at our Starbucks® licensed stores in the Husky Den and Suzzallo Library, Orin’s Café, all on-campus Pagliacci Pizza locations, and the Husky Den’s new sandwich concept District Market Crafted (see below), with more locations to come. You asked, we heard you.
Tero Brings a Plant-Forward Approach to Dining
Brand new at Local Point—the restaurant in Lander Hall open to staff as well as students—Tero proves healthful and tasty can go together. Based on the plant-forward Menus of Change principles, UW Dining Executive Chef Tracey and her team created deliciously unique bowls that combine whole grains (think couscous, quinoa, amaranth) and fresh veggies with a lean protein. The menu is customizable and comes with a choice of mouth-watering sauces.
District Market Crafted Now Open at Husky Den
With the emphasis on fast, fresh and, yes, handcrafted food, the Husky Den’s new District Market Crafted offers a contemporary take on sandwiches, made fresh daily. Try sandwiches like the Roast Beef & Swiss, Vegan Field Roast or Turkey & Cheddar, all available toasted or not. And make sure to try a handcrafted side, like the icebox pickles or artisan kettle chips with crafted spices, and experience everything District Market Crafted has to offer!
Enjoy a Sweet $2 Ice Cream Deal at Glacie’s
It’s spring. It’s warmer. It’s time for ice cream from Glacie’s at the Husky Den. For the month of April only, enjoy any single scoop of Glacie’s premium ice cream for $2 any day, 3–7 p.m. And fun fact, Glacie’s features Winegar's delicious homemade ice cream from a third-generation family run dairy farm in nearby Ellensburg, Washington. So don’t hesitate, come to Glacie’s and take advantage of this sweet April deal!
Think Sunday Brunch. Think Cultivate.
Starting April 8, Cultivate, the popular restaurant in Elm Hall on West Campus, will offer Sunday brunch with the kinds of favorites that make the meal so special. Featured menu items include Corned Beef Hash, Biscuits and (chorizo) Gravy and the spicy Breakfast Machaca (braised, shredded beef). Classic grill items like the Cultivate Burger and Steak and Eggs will also be available. Sunday Brunch, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Please note: Cultivate is now cashless.
Make It Iced at Starbucks®
It’s spring! Time for an Iced Coffee or an Iced Caramel Macchiato, a creamy mix of vanilla and cold milk poured over ice, marked with Starbucks espresso and topped with caramel sauce. Enjoy at all UW Dining locations proudly serving Starbucks or Torrefazione Italia coffees.
Center Table—Opening in Willow Hall Autumn 2018
The new dining destination features seven unique food stations including SELECT, an allergen-free kitchen that offers food without using any of the eight most common allergens and NOODLES, a globally-inspired station with a rotating menu, plus a standalone Pagliacci Pizza. Center Table will be run by the talented staff of The 8, who will continue their fun promotions like Taste of the Pac-12. See you there!
