Summer intern housing begins Sunday, June 16, 2024

Available from mid-June through late August 2024.

On-campus housing is available at the University of Washington for college and university students pursuing summer internship opportunities in the Seattle area. The University of Washington’s Seattle campus is located in the vibrant University District, a short bus or light rail ride away from downtown, Bellevue or Redmond.

If your internship is shorter than our minimum of 28 days, please visit our Guest Housing page. We offer short term and longer term stays to fit your schedule.

All interns remain eligible for housing at UW, even if internships are partially or fully virtual.

Seattle intern experience

We have been providing housing at our Seattle campus for over ten years for student interns working for companies like Amazon, Meta, Google, Microsoft, Nordstrom and T-Mobile.

You are eligible for summer intern housing if:

  • You are 18 years or older at the date of check-in, AND

  • You are a registered student at an accredited college or university

Interns must present a government-issued photo ID and current college or university ID at check-in.

Clients include: Nordstrom, Microsoft, Google and Meta

Accommodations

  • Rooms are per person/per night, single-occupancy
  • All rooms are fully furnished
  • Minimum stay is 28 nights for interns

Apartment

Located on west campus, modern apartments feature shared lounges, full-size kitchens and bathrooms. Check out the 360 Tour of Mercer Hall. Rooms are fully furnished. Linens and towels are not included and guests must provide their own.

Residence Hall

Located on west campus, recently constructed residence halls feature lounges, meeting and study space. Check out the 360 Tour of Terry Hall. Rooms are fully furnished and include a private bath, microwave, and refrigerator. Linens and towels are included.

Application requirements

Reservations for Intern Housing are processed on a space-available basis. The number of rooms are limited, and early reservations are encouraged.

  • A $350 prepayment toward your final total is required to hold your housing reservation. If you cancel your reservation or do not check in, the prepayment will be retained by Conference Services and no refund will be made.
  • All housing payments are due and payable in full prior to check-in.
  • Submitting a reservation form does not guarantee your reservation.
  • Reservations are nontransferable.
  • You must read and accept the Terms and Conditions of staying on campus, which are listed in the Reservation Form.
