Honors / Terry Hall
The University of Washington Honors Program students are asked to value a life of continuous learning and personal growth. The Honors LLC provides students with a bridge between their residential experience and the academic Honors Program. Honors LLC members are encouraged to develop meaningful and intentional relationships with fellow students, staff and faculty, to participate in experiential learning and to develop leadership skills by serving in the community. Honors Program students can work with the Carlson Center, which supports undergraduate students as they take what they learn in the classroom and apply it to 21st century issues.
Pre-Health Sciences / Alder Hall
The Pre-Health LLC provides students with the opportunity to experiment and engage within a community of other students with similar academic interests. Northwest Women (Student-Designed LLC)
Inspired by a well-loved University of Washington Registered Student Organization by the same name, this student-designed living learning community will bring together women with a passion for getting outside, exploring the Pacific Northwest and being the leaders in sustainable outdoor recreation. NWW seeks to provide a woman-centered space for outdoor recreation to help shift perspectives about women's place in outdoor recreation and to promote the belief that the outdoors is for every person to enjoy, respect and protect. By fostering a safe environment for beginners to try new recreational activities and helping students connect with experts in the field, people of all levels have the opportunity to pursue passions while looking after the environment. Residents in the NWW SD-LLC will gain skills in outdoor recreation, explore new outdoor activities, and learn about the importance of environmentalism with an emphasis on philanthropy that supports preserving our natural lands. Northwest Women encourages academic excellence, service work, healthy lifestyles, and hopes to build a positive and active community for all women who just cannot sit still!
