10 Things To Bookmark and Save Before You Move Into The UW

Start planning for your first year at the University of Washington now by bookmarking some helpful links and making sure some important phone numbers are saved in your phone. That way you have the resources you need right at your fingertips! 

1. RA On Duty Phone Number 

Each residence hall as a Resident Adviser (RA) on duty at night who can help with situations when the front desks are not staffed. Save 206-543-1000 in your phone now, so you don't have to look for it when you need it most! 

2. Link To Put In A Work Order 

When you have a lightbulb out or your faucet is leaking, you need to put in a work order to get assistance. Bookmark the work order link now so it's readily available when the time comes. 

3. Student Services Office Contact Info 

Our Student Services Office is the place to contact if you have questions about housing, dining plans and more. Save their email address (hfsinfo@uw.edu) and phone number (206-543-4059) for when a question pops up. You can also visit them in person weekdays from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. in Lander Hall! 

4. Link To Husky Health & Well-Being 

Maintaining your health and well-being is part of a college experience. From medical needs to mental health, the UW has a website where you can find it all. Bookmark the link to Husky Health & Well-Being now. 

5. Dining Hours Information 

With so many places to eat on campus, there's no way you can memorize the operating hours of all your favorite places. Bookmark our dining hours link so you can find the most up-to-date hours any time you need a bite to eat or a coffee! 

6. University of Washington Police Department 

In an emergency, always dial 911. For non-emergencies on campus you can contact UWPD at 206-685-UWPD (8973). They also offer services like Husky SafeTrip so you don't have to walk alone at night. Save that number now, too: 206-685-9255 (WALK). 

7. SafeCampus 

You are not alone. Call SafeCampus anytime at 206-685-7233—no matter where you work or study—to anonymously discuss safety and well-being concerns for yourself or others. Remember, in an emergency, always dial 911! 

8. Calendar of Events 

Living on campus means there's always something to do. Bookmark the UW calendar of events to see what's happening! 

9. Perks & Rec 

When you live in the residence halls, you have access to a fitness center, makerspaces and more! Bookmark the Perks & Rec page to find out what workshops and classes are happening, see hours of operation and more.
